CBSE grading system for class 6 to 8 (2024-25)

CBSE has decided to implement a uniform system of assessments and examination patterns for classes 6 to 8.
The CBSE has implemented a grading system for students in Classes 6 to 8 to promote a more comprehensive and stress-free evaluation process. The grading system is based on the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) model, which focuses on scholastic and co-scholastic aspects of a student's development.
According to the assessment structure and examination pattern, the session is divided into two terms: TERM-I and TERM-II
Term-I |

Term-II |

A student’s overall performance is assessed through scholastic (academic) and co-scholastic (non-academic) areas.
For scholastic subjects, grades are given using an 8-point scale given below the table.

Students will be evaluated in co-scholastic areas based on the following:
GRADE | Remark |
