Visit the Official Website
Create an Account
- Click on ‘Register’ and enter your basic details such as name, email ID, and mobile number.
- Create a password and verify your email and phone number through OTP.
Select the Right Stream
- Choose the appropriate stream based on your requirement:
- Stream 1: For fresh students appearing in public exams.
- Stream 2: For students who failed or want to reappear.
- Streams 3 & 4: For on-demand exams to improve scores or complete courses.
Fill in the Application Form
- Enter your details, contact information, and educational qualifications.
- Double-check all details to ensure accuracy.
Choose Subjects and Exam Center
- Select the subjects you want to appear for.
- Choose a nearby exam center from the available options.
Upload Required Documents
- Upload scanned copies of your passport-sized photograph, identity proof, date of birth proof, residence proof, Class 10 marksheet (for Class 12 applicants), and any other required documents.
- Ensure that the documents are clear and within the specified file size limit.
Pay the Registration Fee
- The registration fee depends on the number of subjects and the applicant's category.
- For example, Class 12 general male candidates pay ₹2600 for five subjects.
- Payments can be made online using a debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
Review and Submit the Form

Save the Reference Number
- After successful submission, you will receive a reference number.

Download Confirmation Receipt
- Download and print the confirmation receipt for future reference.
To complete the registration, students need to upload scanned copies of the following documents:
- Recent passport-sized photograph
- Signature (preferably in black ink)
- Valid identity proof (Aadhaar card, passport, etc.)
- Proof of date of birth (Aadhaar card with DOB, birth certificate)

NIOS Registration Dates for April-May 2025 Exams
- Without Late Fee: November 21 to December 20, 2024
- With ₹150 Late Fee per Subject: December 21 to December 30, 2024
- With ₹1,600 Consolidated Late Fee: January 1 to January 10, 2025
For October 2025 exams, registrations continue until March 15, 2025, with varying late fees.
